The Verizon Center and the Capitol are within walking distance of this neighborhood as well.

Mount Vernon is rapidly emerging as one of the most desirable places to live. The area is booming with new restaurants, shopping, and places to live. There are currently 2,770 residential units, and future development plans will add an additional 973 residential units and more retail and office space. Row houses are prevalent in this neighborhood, and there is also a substantial amount of condos due to development in recent years.
