April 15, 2014 is just around the corner and the realtors at Buyer’s Edge are still taking care of their buyer clients that they worked with in 2013. Over the years, our exclusive buyer’s agents have found that many times during the excitement and stress of buying and moving into a new condo or home, some of our homebuyers misplace their HUD -1 after settlement. “Where is that darn house folder? Is my HUD-1 at the bottom of a box I haven’t unpacked yet? Has that miserable form been misfiled in the flurry to move in and get organized?” Inevitably we get the “freak out” call, “Help! Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and Community Service Go Hand and Hand

Thirty years ago today federal legislation was signed to honor Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  During his short life,  he made an impact that changed the course of American history. Dr. King spent his life trying to bring equality, social justice and economic opportunity for all.


Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said that, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is: “What are you doing for others?”

In 1994, Congress designated that the MLK Jr Federal Holiday also would be a national service day. Their hope was to keep alive and honor the legacy of service of this great man. Each year, Americans from all over the country

It's Still a Great Time to Buy a Home

So you may have missed what I believe is the best time to buy a home, the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day; where does that leave you?

Well, some of the same reasons I cited in a December 9th article in the www.BuyersAgent.com blog post still apply:

1.  Houses still on the market after the holidays will still have motivated sellers and many of them are still offering or will grant closing cost assistance to the buyer;

2. Some sellers are still offering an incentive to the buyer’s agent which will benefit you for using a Buyer’s Edge agent because we pass on any incentive on to the buyer when the
