Tomorrow night is Halloween! Kids are excited. Costumes are put together and the candyis sitting in a bowl close to the front door. (The power of positive thinking.) After the school parade tomorrow afternoon, it will seem like an eternity for your children before it gets dark and they can go out trickor treating with their group of happy friends. With big smiles on their faces they will run up and down the streets, knock on doors, and politely scream, “Trick or Treat!” After a brief thank you, the children will rush on to the next home all a glow

HUD Spokesman Confirms It Will Lift Restriction on Dual Agency

According to a report from Inman News, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has decided not to implement new rules that would have kept real estate brokers from representing both buyers and sellers on Federal Housing Adminstration (FHA) short sales.  HUD was scheduled to implement the rules on October 1, 2013.

The reversal comes after a strong lobbying effort from the National Association of Realtors® (NAR).  HUD announced its plans to ban dual agency in FHA short sales in a July 9, 2013 guidance document. In September, NAR’s President sent HUD a letter strongly objecting to the policy.  Earlier this
