Recently, my husband, Steve, and I came across two enormous French castle doors from the 1780's in an antique store that was going out of business. Within minutes, we decided that these old, gracious doors could to be "repurposed" into a unique headboard. Though the French doors were weathered and gray, Steve was able to refinish and restore them to their original, warm, golden brown color. Our castle doors have just been installed and we are truly happy with the finished product. Please take a look.

Our DIY project got me thinking about other salvaged or repurposed materials that might be fun to use and turn into some wonderfully, creative headboards in other bedrooms in your home. It would be great to be able to change headboards
